About Eric Dymock

Award-winning motoring journalist Eric Dymock has half a century of experience reporting on cars and motoring events around the globe, and has published over 30 full-length works.

Trained as an engineer in Glasgow before joining the road test staff of The Motor, from 1966 Eric was Grand Prix correspondent of The Guardian and later The Observer. As motoring correspondent of The Sunday Times from 1982-1995, Eric won four Jet Media Excellence Awards for his work at the paper, including the overall title in 1988.

Eric was Motoring Editor of Sunday Magazine from 1982-1985, as well as the quarterly Road and Car. He has written for BBC2 Wheelbase, Thames Television Drive-in, BBC Radio 4, The Times, Financial Times, and The Daily Telegraph.

A member of the Fleet Street Group of Motoring Correspondents from 1985 - 2010, Eric has also been a member of the Guild of Motoring Writers since 1963 and is an Honorary Life Member of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers.
